Traditional flame hardening has restrictions on complex geometries. Laser hardening offers a different level of control.
Our customer wanted complete coverage of a targeted area on these steel clamp dies, which couldn’t be achieved with flame hardening. By laser hardening, we were able to easily target areas to get a full surface coverage.
Final hardness: 57-58 HRC
